Takeaway night has always been about celebrating the end of a busy week with great food you haven’t had to cook for yourself. Variety, flavour, spice, indulgence.
At The Berkshire Pig we’ve been imagining something more. What if takeaway food was also about the finest ingredients cooked with passion and attention to detail for you to eat in the your own home? What if fast food could be slow cooked. What about marinading, smoking, steeping, pickling, all the processes that unlock the full flavours and textures of food?
We want your experience of the Berkshire Pig to be indulgent, fresh, aromatic and zinging with spice
We believe that the food we cook will only be as good as the ingredients we use. Provenance is everything.
In Britain we happily live in the finest larder on God’s good earth. At the Berkshire Pig, we look to source our ingredients locally wherever possible and, whenever possiblei, we cook with seasonal produce in season.
We love rare breeds, different varieties, unusual cuts, discovering forgotten recipes and appropriating flavours from all around the world.
The food we eat should respect the earth that it comes from. Before we eat an animal we believe it should have lived it’s best life in good surroundings. We look to source our meat and poultry from farmers who rear their livestock with a genuine passion for their welfare. Not only does that feel like the right thing to do, it also produces better tasting meat. Currently, this country has the highest animal welfare standards in the world, long may that continue.

Pig Party Menus
If you have a larger party or gathering planned, how about a Pig Party. As well as our smoked menus of beef brisket, pork, ribs and wings, we also have Mediterranean and Middle Eastern or Far Eastern menus full of spices and flavours.






Currently The Berkshire Pig cooks on a Friday and Saturday nights for pre-ordered takeaway only.
